Type AMS 60 wood-built coastal minesweeper. AMS=Adjutant Mine Sweeper) building make possible by the Mutual Defense Assistance Plan (MDPA). Laid down at the Boelwerf, Temse, Belgium in June 1953, launched by Mrs. Spinoy on 21 June 1954 at 20.15 o’clock, converted into a ammunition transport with as pennant A963 in 1978 and finally decommissioned in 1993. Sold in 1979 to the Dutch foundation Paradijsvogel, Rotterdam, Netherlands and renovated and finally renamed AMS 60-Bernisse. Call sign PF2002.
